The STANDARD Q COVID-19 Ag Test Kit was the first rapid antigen test kit to be approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization. It has full Korea MFDS approval and TGA approval in Australia, and carries the CE mark. It is intended for use by healthcare professionals to aid and assist in the early detection of SARS-CoV-2 infections.
With a high end sensitivity of 99.04% and specificity of 99.99% based on most recent data, it is an instrument-free complete test kit that provides convenience and reliability in a timely manner.
About antigen testing:
Antigen tests identify specific proteins that are functional components of a pathogen, providing a qualitative positive or negative result as to the presence of the pathogen in a patient’s sample. During an acute infection, when the viral load is high, these specific proteins bind to antibodies located on the test strip and display a positive result, proving active infection. Negative results must still be considered in the context of other pertinent patient information like clinical symptoms, travel history and COVID-19 exposure.
